Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get involved with NRFC?

  1. Join us for regular practices and scrimmages from spring through early fall.
  2. Play in our annual recreational & competitive tournaments, including an outdoor friendly, a drag futsal tournament, and multiple travel opportunities (Seattle, Vancouver, etc.)
  3. Join one of our futsal, indoor & outdoor teams in multi-gender, women's, and men's leagues.
  4. Attend a social or community benefit event (from hosting youth clinics and tournaments, to movie nights and ski trips). See our Events page for more info.

How do I get on a competitive team?

Fill out the Join a Team form and come out to practice/scrimmages to let us know if you’re interested in joining a competitive team. There is a waitlist to get on some teams, and we do require certain skills that the team managers will be able to explain and try to help you with.

Team managers will get in touch with interested players that match their team's skill level when there is space on the team.

Do you have anything for womxn and femme players?

Yes we do! We have teams in women's outdoor, futsal, and indoor leagues. Also, we have women participating in practices/scrimmages, multi-gender teams, tournaments, including Festival of the Babes!

I haven’t played in years (or ever!) — is that an issue?

No problem — Practices and Scrimmages are open to all levels, and you’ll find a good mix of beginner and advanced players. We have teams in all different skill levels. We also have a number of good mentors, so come on out!

Where/When does the club practice?

Times and fields can change due to availability. To be up on the latest with respect to practices/scrimmages/tournament info and new teams and leagues forming, please check our Facebook and Instagram pages and subscribe to our email list for regular updates. Join our email list by filling out the information found on the top right of this screen OR sign up via our Join a Team page.

When you come to our practices, be sure to bring shin-guards, appropriate shoes, and a ball if you have one. Don't forget your water bottle and sunscreen if we're outdoors!

What kind of commitment is there?

We love to have fun, but we also like to win! For practices & scrimmages there really isn’t any commitment – just come out when you can and have a good time. However, for our competitive teams, commitment is crucial and we have waitlists to join these teams, so multiple no-shows without warning your team manager can lead to exclusion from a competitive team.

Are there any membership dues or fees?

Please refer to the membership page for more information.

Can hetero and/or cisgender allies join?

Absolutely! We have many allies playing with us.
